International Women's Day

International Women's Day

International Women's Day is a global celebration of women's achievements, while also recognising the progress still needed towards gender equality. As a predominantly women-led company, FAE is for women of a new-era, the elegantly bold, who seek timeless staples and a more sustainable future. To celebrate this day, we had the pleasure of speaking to 2 inspirational women who are making a positive impact at FAE ~ Founder & Creative Director Bianca Bennetts and Designer, Lily Sheridan.

Bianca Bennetts
Q: What does International Women's Day mean to you?
Bianca: International Women's Day is a time to recognise the amazing achievements of women, to celebrate our strength, and to acknowledge the progress that has been made towards gender equality. It's also a time to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges that women face around the world.

Q: How do you think the fashion industry can empower women?
Bianca: The fashion industry can play a huge role in empowering women by creating products that make women feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful. At FAE, we make sure to consider this in every design decision we make.

Lily Sheridan
Q: What does International Women's Day mean to you?
Lily: International Women's Day is a time honour women around the world for the contributions we make each day to society. It's an opportunity to come together to promote gender equality and raise awareness of issues that women face around the world.
Q: Which women inspire you most?
Lily: From a career perspective I would say Bianca inspires me a lot. She's not only a mother, but at the same time, running a business. She really is a great example to women, of how you can be career-driven and also have a family - she works really hard and demonstrates how women can be very successful!

FAE is for the women of the new-era. The quietly confident who set the trends rather than follow them. Through the work of inspiring women, we can see the potential for positive change in the fashion industry and beyond recognising a more equitable future for women, not just on this day, but every day. Happy International Woman's Day!

This day is for you.
